Halloween

Aaron and I decided to stay in Cedar City for Halloween weekend. Meghann and Marisa threw a Halloween party in St. George at their apartment so we decided to make an appearance. We didn't figure out what we were going to dress up as until the day of. We were pretty creative, if I do say so myself. We decided to go as Baked Potatoes. We went to Walmart hoping to buy a costume, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on something we probably would never use again, so our creative efforts led us to baked potatoes. It was really fun getting in the spirit of Halloween and getting dressed up. It took us forever to wrap ourselves with tin-foil and we attempted to stuff our tummy's with stuffing to look like fat potatoes. By the time we got to St. George most of it had ripped, so we spent a lot of time in the parking lot patching things up. However, their apartment was on the third floor and walking up three flights of stairs didn't help the situation out too much. We finally gave up at that point, got some pictures and ripped the costumes off. Needless to say, we were baking, tin-foil really cooks you. The party was really fun. They had Halloween bingo, a donut eating game, and a pinata. It's crazy to think Halloween pretty much came and went. This year is flying by so fast.

Everyone!

The pinata, that I actually happened to break.

Friday we were able to go to Thriller with Meghann and Landon. I had never seen it so I was really excited. I was a little nervous about Aaron liking it, but he seemed to have fun. Before heading out to Tuacahn we went to dinner at Brick Oven for my friend Marisa's birthday. She has become such a good friend and I am so glad she let us spend her special day with her. Tuacahn greeted us with many scary zombies. Although I know they are not real, it still freaked me out when they were literally inches from my face. The particular zombie girl below brushed noses with Aaron in fact. He said she was so close he could have kissed her. I guess that they can't help it when they see an attractive man in the audience. I didn't really know what to expect going into thriller, but it turned out to be really fun and I am so glad we went.

This Lady cracked me up, I thought she was the best part of the show. I had no idea who she even was until Thriller. After the show she came up to Aaron and kept squishing his cheeks, I had to get a picture. As we were walking away, she told me to "go forth and conquer, if you know what I mean." She was hilarious.

Pumpkins

This weekend Aaron's sister wanted to get together and carve pumpkins. It was so much fun. I love fall and nothing gets you in the spirit of Halloween better than carving pumpkins. We all had our own pumpkin to carve, although mine wasn't quite as elaborate as everyone else's. As you can see below Aaron is getting a little too into it. That knife was almost bigger than the pumpkin.

Aaron with all of his pumpkin guts. He had the biggest pumpkin, it took him forever.

The finished product! Mine of course is the little monster on the left and Aaron's is the scary face on the right. His mom's is the skull and his sisters is the boo. For all you hygiene girls does my pumpkin not remind you of the plaque monster from are puppet show.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to celebrate my Grandma's 90th birthday. It was so fun. We had a big family party and it was great to see people I haven't seen in years. Unfortunately Aaron couldn't make it. He is hunting with his dad and has been gone since Tuesday. I am missing him like crazy and cannot wait until he comes home. We are so grateful for my grandma. She is so special and I am so glad that Aaron has had the chance to get to know her. Happy birthday Grandma, we love you!

What a Week!

Most of you know that I go to Dental Hygiene School at Dixie. Every year we have to participate in homecoming week and be in the parade. We all had to dress up as tooth fairies, teeth, and fluoride super heros. It was really fun this year, I have grown so close to these girls and although I will be happy to graduate in May, I will be very sad to leave everyone.

We spent conference weekend in Nephi with my family. It was so fun. Every year we go up the canyon between sessions and take pictures with the fall leaves. I love when the leaves change color, it is so beautiful. I am so glad we have been able to spend so much time at home with our families. We are so blessed.

During conference weekend we started a new tradition. My sisters, my mom, and I decided it would be fun to be domestic and make crafts together. My mom found all of these things that we could make for halloween and they turned out so cute. I am so glad that we did it. Aaron will probably deny it if you ask, but he loves when I bring home new crafts for the house. I wanted to take a break a few times and Aaron told me I had to keep going and get them done. He sat next to me the whole time I did the pumpkin, just so I would get it done.

Aaron and I decided we needed a night out and thought it would be fun to go cook us up some smores. We went up to the mountains in Ephraim, where Aaron actually proposed. It was the first time that we have been back to that place and it was so great being able to spend time with each other. We had a lot of fun.

Pretty sure I burned that one a bit!

My amazing husband!

A pipeline broke at my parents house a couple weekends ago and Aaron volunteered to do the dirty work so my dad didn't have to. He made quite the mess!

The Weekend

This weekend I was able to head home and go to my sister's baby shower. It was so fun seeing everyone. Marcie is due November 7 with a baby boy, we are all so excited. It was great to be home and spend time with the family. Aaron also took me hunting while I was home. Let's just say he is turning me into quite the camo girl. It was great being up on the mountain and Aaron is very patient with me. I tend to sound like a heard of elephants instead of being sneaky, and usually scare all of the deer. Aaron is still nice enough to let me tag along though. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures hunting, but here are a few from the shower.

Our New Toy

Aaron decided we needed one more vehicle to add to the list. I wasn't quite sure about the purchase, but it's growing on me. Aaron looked like a kid in a candy store. He wanted it soooo bad, not to mention we did get it for a pretty good price. How could I deny him, right? So this is our first officially big purchase since we've been married. We are now the proud owners of a rhino.

Fishing:
Once Aaron taught me how to fish I've been obsessed. I love it. I especially love how every time we've went I have caught more than Aaron. He gets so irate, it's hilarious. This is our latest catch.

Back Tracking

Aaron and I spent our one year anniversary on August 8th. Aaron took me to Vegas to a resort, we had so much fun. I can't believe it has already been a year, it has went by so fast. I love Aaron so much, I don't know what I would do without him. He has been so supportive and I know I will always be well taken care of, I am one lucky girl. I can't wait to see what life has in store for us, we are so happy!!
